KB LaSeR Wash

Project Scope: Branding | Website Design | Business Materials

Problem

Lela, a referral from our long-time clients Don and Julio at Alaska Wash Support, was launching a brand-new car wash in Soldotna, Alaska. With the facility still under construction, she needed a full brand identity and a professional website—without any physical photos of the business available yet.

She came to RISEmpowerment with a clear vision rooted in deep personal meaning:

  • She wanted the brand to subtly include the initials of both her and her husband, Scott

  • She hoped to honor her vintage green Ford F100—an emotional gift from her father and a symbol of old-school Americana she cherished deeply

Her ultimate goal? To create a brand that balanced state-of-the-art car wash technology with the kind of hometown values that make her business feel personal and trustworthy to everyone who visits.

Solution

We began with an in-depth study of fonts, aesthetics, and colors that could capture both innovation and nostalgia. Together, we crafted a brand identity anchored by a vintage-style circular logo featuring a hand-drawn version of her beloved Ford F100 in its signature green. Browns and blacks were added to keep the look clean, professional, and timeless.

To support the full launch, we also designed a secondary rectangular logo for signage that mimics the front grille of her vintage Ford. Her business name, KBLaser Wash, was styled with intentional capitalization of the “R” and “S”—a hidden tribute to both Lela and Scott.

We then applied the new branding across professional business materials, including:

  • Business cards for networking, vendors, and community partners

  • Branded gift cards designed to support her goal of launching a gift card program in time for seasonal promotions and holiday traffic

Her website featured custom-coded forms for gathering private customer feedback, which proved especially helpful during early operations and staff training. While waiting for the car wash to become fully operational, we sourced premium stock photography as placeholders—building a polished, conversion-friendly site from day one.

Results

Lela immediately connected with the final logo, feeling that it truly captured the heart of her business and her personal story. The branding helped her confidently introduce KB Laser Wash to the community with a clear, professional identity.

The website launched successfully, offering early customers a place to learn about services, get in touch, and submit feedback—an invaluable tool as Lela refined her operations and led her team through the opening phase.

Her branded business cards and gift cards became powerful tools for both visibility and early sales promotions, building customer loyalty from the very beginning.

Growth Plan

We built a strong foundation for expansion into future digital marketing and community engagement. Next-phase goals include:

  • Activating gift card purchases directly on the website

  • Launching an online store for branded merchandise

  • Publishing an educational blog with service updates, wash package details, and vehicle care tips

  • Starting email campaigns for seasonal promotions, wash specials, and customer appreciation events

🔁 Refresh Project Update

About a year after launch, Lela came back to RISEmpowerment to refresh the website and implement Phase 2 of her brand strategy. By then, her car wash had received stunning professional photography, rave customer reviews, and recognition from the Small Business Association of Alaska—with features in local media.

The site was enhanced to reflect all this momentum:

  • Gorgeous new photography throughout the homepage and services pages

  • Embedded Google Reviews for instant social proof

  • Real-time Instagram feed that highlights her fun, personal approach to local marketing and community connection

Lela's car wash now stands out online just as much as it does in person. The blend of nostalgic charm, high-tech services, and authentic connection to her town has made KB Laser Wash a fast favorite in Soldotna.
