Chelsea Klender

Founder

Chelsea is a certified life coach, business strategist, and entrepreneur with a rich background in architecture, engineering, and financial advising. As a former architecture and design student, she has a passion for blending form and function, which extends to her work in graphic design. Chelsea's ability to merge creative thinking with analytical problem-solving equips her to provide businesses with effective, innovative solutions. Her extensive experience empowers her to guide clients through strategic growth while optimizing operational efficiency at RISEmpowerment.

In her free time, you can find Chelsea reading (health and business books are her favorite), studying design and innovation (consistently honing and improving skills), swimming, biking, and RV traveling with her husband Jonathan, son Jonny, and Stella, their Bernese Mountain Dog.

Jonathan Hernandez

Co-Founder

Jonathan has over 10 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, and business coaching. His role as a director at Northwestern Mutual allows him to create customized financial strategies that drive business success. A former kickboxing instructor, Jonathan has a unique approach to coaching, helping individuals and teams unlock their potential. His blend of financial expertise and motivational skills supports RISEmpowerment’s mission to deliver tailored solutions that foster sustainable business growth.

In his free time, you can find Jonathan exercising (boxing, weights, and biking are his favorite), reading (self and business development), playing with Jonny (he's the Director of Fun), and RV traveling with the family throughout the US.

Our Story

  • September 2021 – The Spark

    Chelsea completed a year-long certification and supervision program to become a certified life coach. She launched her first coaching practice under the name Zombie Mommie Brand, empowering women to navigate life, motherhood, and mindset with courage and clarity.

  • June 2022 – Coaching with Purpose

    We coached our first entrepreneur—helping him identify his unique gifts and launch a passion-based business. This sparked the creation of a startup coaching program focused on values-based entrepreneurship, marking our first step into the business consulting world.

  • January 2023 – Enter RISEmpowerment

    After supporting our first few clients through the full branding and website process, we realized the power of blending coaching with strategic business services. Jonathan officially joined the company, bringing in financial education and planning support. We rebranded as RISEmpowerment—a new name to reflect our bigger mission.

  • March 2023 – Systems Meet Soul

    We began building internal systems and frameworks to deliver high-touch client experiences—from business coaching and brand design to operations consulting. Each project became a blueprint for empowering small business owners with clarity, confidence, and scalable solutions.

  • October 2024 – Agency Mode Activated

    What began as freelance work evolved into a full-service agency. RISEmpowerment expanded rapidly, offering ongoing retainer services for business coaching, marketing strategy, financial consulting, and brand design. We built long-term partnerships with mission-driven businesses across multiple industries.

  • Today – Building a Movement

    We’ve supported dozens of businesses across the U.S.—from solo founders to multi-location companies—and we’re just getting started. RISEmpowerment is now a hub for aligned business growth, serving entrepreneurs who are ready to rise with strategy, purpose, and modern systems that scale.
